Before you can start tracking, collecting and reporting on anything, you have to get some locations into the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Standard User accounts do not have access to create Location. If you do not see \u201cAdd 1 New Location\u201d or \u201cBulk Add Locations\u201d, and believe that you should, please let us know. We will work with your company contact to ensure appropriate permissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two ways to add Locations. You can either add them one at a time or you can load them in bulk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the navigation bar, expand the menu, then click \u201cAdd 1 New Location\u201d to create one at a time, or click the \u201cBulk Add Locations\u201d to load several at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will detail both options below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add 1 New Location<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  1. From the navigation bar, expand the \u201cHWM \u2013 Admin\u201d menu, then click \u201cAdd 1 New Location\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Enter the values for the Location you would like to add\n
      \n
    • Assigned To = You can assign the Location to a User if you would like. It is optional.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Zone = Multiple locations, or areas, can be assigned to a Zone. Click the Zone to see a report showing the Locations within that Zone and performance over a period of time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Location \u2013 The Location name given to the location, room, or area that is to be checked for hazardous waste.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Task 1 \u2013 Task 40 = The items, or tasks, that are to be checked in the location. Essentially, the tasks are the checklist to be done after each location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Click \u201cCreate Location\u201d to add the record to the system<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Once the Location has been added, it is available to print through \u201cExport Scans\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Bulk Add Locations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      1. From the navigation bar, expand the menu, then click \u201cBulk Add Locations\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Download a fresh template using the \u201cDownload\u201d button, if you already have the template you can skip this step.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Fill in the template with as many new Locations as you would like. There are several columns in the template:\n
          \n
        • Zone = The Zone where the room or area of the facility is located<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Location Name\u00a0= The name of the location, area, or room that is be checked or cleared of hazardous waste<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Step 1 \u2013 Step 40\u00a0= The duties, or tasks, that should be checked, or performed, up to 40 per Location<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Save the completed template to your local system<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Click the \u201cChoose File\u201d button and locate the template that you just saved<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Click \u201cUpload and Import\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Once the Locations have been loaded, they are available to print through \u201cExport Scans\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Troubleshooting Bulk Add Locations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          If you are unable to find the Location that you added to the system please check the following. These are the most common reasons a Location does not show:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Refresh the page. Sometimes the page gets cached in the browser and may not display the most recent list of locations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • If the file fails to upload, please make sure the file is saved as a .csv. It is always a good idea to download a fresh copy of the template as the fields may have changed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
