{"id":65,"date":"2024-08-08T20:49:58","date_gmt":"2024-08-09T04:49:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/guide\/?p=65"},"modified":"2024-10-06T19:52:57","modified_gmt":"2024-10-07T03:52:57","slug":"editing-a-type-in-pva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/guide\/editing-a-type-in-pva\/","title":{"rendered":"Editing a Type in PVA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After a Type has been added to be used as part of the Location Creation process in Patient Visit Assessment (PVA) it may be necessary to make changes to the questions, spelling, name, add a note, or change the default status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the process for editing the Type Name, editing, removing, or adding associated Patient Visit (PV) Questions, Discharge Room (DR) Questions, adding optional notes or comments, and changing the default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This process does not change the questions of existing Locations but will apply to new Locations added using this Type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You must first be signed into the system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expand the \u201cPVA \u2013 All\u201d menu\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-6.png\" alt=\"pva-all-navigation-menu\" style=\"width: 200px\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click \u201cVisit Types\u201d then \u201cList Types\u201d\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-22.png\" alt=\"pva-all-list-types\" style=\"width: 200px\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click \u201cEdit\u201d in the \u201cActions\u201d column for the Type you want to edit\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-26.png\" alt=\"dhcs-actions-edit-create-delete\" style=\"width: 150px\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The check box in the \u201cDefault\u201d section should be marked if the questions should be applied in \u201cBulk Add Locations\u201d process, or unchecked if they should not\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>NOTE:<\/strong>&nbsp;If more than one Type is showing as default in the Type List, it may be necessary to Edit and uncheck one of the Types<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the box is checked, the questions will be automatically applied during the \u201cBulk Add Locations\u201d process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the box is unchecked, the questions will not apply to the \u201cBulk Add Locations\u201d but can be used to autofill single add Locations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-27.png\" alt=\"pva-type-default\" style=\"width: 500px\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review the Type \u201cName\u201d for any changes needed, edit where applicable\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-8.png\" alt=\"pva-location-name\" style=\"width: 500px\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review, edit, or remove questions from the \u201cPatient Visit Questions\u201d as needed\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-9.png\" alt=\"pva-location-patient-visit-questions\" style=\"width: 500px\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review, edit, or remove questions from the \u201cDischarge Room Questions\u201d as needed\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-10.png\" alt=\"pva-location-discharge-room-questions\" style=\"width: 500px\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optionally, add or update any \u201cNotes\/Comments\u201d that should appear on the Assessment form\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-11.png\" alt=\"pva-location-notes-comments-questions\" style=\"width: 500px\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click \u201cUpdate Type\u201d to save the changes\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-28.png\" alt=\"pva-button-update-type\" style=\"width: 200px\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete.
