Everything from updating the spelling of a name, adding in their correct Employee Number, or changing the users Role, can be done through the \u201cUser Management\u201d section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To access this feature, the user will need to have the Role of \u201cSuper Admin\u201d. Once this Role has been assigned to the uses account they will see \u201cUser Management\u201d available in their navigation.&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"178\" height=\"34\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-2.png\" alt=\"user-management-menu-item\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Role Types<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three types of Roles within DHC Systems. Each has a graduating level of access and permissions. By default users are given the role of \u201cStandard\u201d. To gain higher levels of access, they will contact their locations \u201cSuper Admin\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Standard User:<\/strong>&nbsp;This is the default level of access for a new user. They have access to reporting, but nothing else.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Admin User:&nbsp;<\/strong>This level of user is able to access the same reporting as the \u201cStandard User\u201d but also has the ability to manage QR\/barcodes in the system. Management of QR\/barcodes would include creating, editing, deleting, exporting, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Super Admin User:&nbsp;<\/strong>This level of access allows the user to do everything the \u201cStandard User\u201d and \u201cAdmin User\u201d can do, plus the ability to modify user accounts. In order to gain this level of access, the user must work with their management team. It may be necessary to reach out to DHC Systems Support at gmgllc@outlook.com to have this Role applied to an account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other Users:&nbsp;<\/strong>When an account is first added to the system, or if an account was modified incorrectly, the Role may be missing or erroneous. In those cases, the users account will fall under \u201cOther Users\u201d and their reporting may fail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Information Cards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The four cards along the top of the User Management page display the number of users by Role. See \u201cRole Types\u201d, and the card footers, for a brief description of the Role functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-1-1024x137.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1245\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">DHC Systems user counts by Role<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Users List<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The main table of information on the page displays basic information for each account, allows for sorting, searching, and modification of the accounts listed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Searching<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Click in the \u201cSearch records\u201d,&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"175\" height=\"36\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-3.png\" alt=\"generic-bootstrap-search\">, box and start typing to quickly filter the \u201cUser List\u201d. The table should start narrowing the results as you type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also change the number of results shown on the page, or from the search results, by updating the \u201cShow ## entries\u201d selection. Simply click to expand and select the number of records to display on the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-146.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-146.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-654\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Column Headers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The headers, or titles, at the top of each column of the \u201cUsers List\u201d table can be sorted ascending or descending. Click the header text to toggle the sorting back and forth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the information icon,&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"28\" height=\"30\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-145.png\" alt=\"bootstrap-information-help\">, next to the text provides additional information about the contents of that column, and the information in it. Hover over the information icon to display the tooltip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-144.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-144.png\" alt=\"bootstrap-tooltip\" class=\"wp-image-650\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Columns are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Emp ID:&nbsp;<\/strong>The users Employee ID as supplied by the employer. Can be used for locating an employee in the system and assigning work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Name:&nbsp;<\/strong>The full name of the user. Used for locating the user in the system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Email:&nbsp;<\/strong>The email address of the user. This is used when resetting passwords and for occasional communications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Role:&nbsp;<\/strong>The role assigned to the user determines their level of access and what activities they can perform in the system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Last Login:&nbsp;<\/strong>The last time the user logged into the system. Generally used for management to verify they are using the system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Edit:&nbsp;<\/strong>Clicking this will open a form that allows for modification of the user account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Quick Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>Using the Quick Apply button will immediately assign the role indicated on the button to the user noted in the row. Clicking the Disable button will remove access for that user and remove them from the list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quick Apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The fastest way to update a users Role is by using the \u201cQuick Apply\u201d buttons. Simply locate the user that needs their Role, or permissions, updated and click the button corresponding with the Role you would like assigned to the user. The next time the user logs in, their new access will be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE:&nbsp;<\/strong>Clicking the \u201cDisable\u201d button will result in the user no longer having access to the system. This change is reversible but will require that you reach out to DHC Systems Support for assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-4.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhcsystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-4.png\" alt=\"user-management-quick-apply\" class=\"wp-image-1248\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if the user \u201cCorie Masters\u201d is currently able to do reporting but you would like them to be able to load new barcodes. You would find them in the \u201cUsers List\u201d and simply click the \u201cAdmin\u201d button. You should now see them noted as having \u201cadmin\u201d in the \u201cRole\u201d column.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the user is signed in at the time the changes are made, they will need to sign out, and then back in, to see the changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Editing a User<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are times that the user misspelled their email address (which is used for password resets), or their Employee ID is incorrect, or, for whatever reason, the \u201cQuicky Apply\u201d option won\u2019t work for your scenario. For that you will want to click the \u201cEdit\u201d button for the users account needing modification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the form opens, you can make changes to various aspects of the users account, including changing their \u201cRole\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the changes are complete, clicking the \u201cUpdate User\u201d button will apply the changes to the users account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar to \u201cQuick Apply\u201d, the user may need to log out, then back in, to see the changes in the system.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are times when you will need to edit a users account.
